To identify and study issues relating to diversity and equal opportunity, and access. To recommend practices and policies which will lead to quality instruction, programs, and services for all students into the 21st century. To assist in the development of in-service education programs materials and resources that help administrators to respond sensitively to cultural, ethnic, and gender differences among students and communities. To establish partnership/communication links with national/state, teacher and parent organizations. To assist the board in implementing those aspects of the association goals which address student diversity.

To identify and study areas of needed legislation affecting ACSA members and public education. To solicit sponsorship requests from ACSA members, and to sponsor bills that improve conditions in California schools. To study proposed legislation and, based upon ACSA's Legislative Platform and additional input from the board of directors, establish ACSA's position on state and federal legislation. To assist in the establishment of the ACSA Legislative Platform.

To develop and implement state, regional, and charter membership recruitment, retention, and recognition activities and strategies. To monitor existing membership categories and dues structure, identifying trends and issues requiring related changes or adjustments. Recommend membership eligibility and equitable dues structure modifications to the Board of Directors as necessary. To monitor and evaluate existing special service (SASS) benefits and to investigate and recommend new offerings to the Board of Directors. To study and evaluate ACSA vendor/program endorsements for recommendation to the Board of Directors.
